author: Cassandra Clare
title: Welcome to Shadowhunter Academy (Tales from Shadowhunter Academy #1)
publisher: McElderry Books
publication date: February 17th, 2015

After living as a Mundane and a Vampire, Simon never thought he would become a Shadowhunter, but today he begins his training at Shadowhunter Academy.

It’s not a secret that Cassandra Clare is my No 1 favorite author in the whole world, so it was only a matter of time before reading the Tales from Shadowhunter Academy. I don’t like e-books. I really don’t and I can’t even tell you why. I bought an ereader like two years ago and used it like maybe four or five times since then. I just prefer ‚real books‘ which is one of the reasons why I actutally wanted to wait until The Tales from Shadowhunter Academy is available as print version.

But since I love Cassandra Clare so much, I couldn’t wait any longer and I can’t even tell you how exciting it is to read something from the Shadowhunter world I haven’t read yet and which is not a reread. I love this world so much I just can’t get enough of it.

So I read the first short story so far and really really enjoyed it. I love Simon so much I can’t even. I mean I love all of Cassies characters but Simon is such a cutie and consindering everything he went through he is such a strong person. I loved watching him making his first steps into the Shadowhunter Academy, meeting new people who actually treat him like a real hero which is absolutely new to our shy little Simon. Nothing much happend in the first story except for introducing new characters and Simon making his way to Idris but I loved it anyway and I can’t wait to read all the other short stories.
